Jennie Blackton is an experienced political communication consultant for candidates, state parties, and progressive organizations.
Jennie is an expert media trainer and provides a variety of customized services including: speech writing, debate prep, video and audio production and media buying. She develops and delivers specialized public speaking, persuasive communicating and voter contact workshops - customized for each client.
Over the past 15 years, through her work with the Association of State Democratic Chairs (ASDC), Jennie has worked with over 40 state Democratic parties. As Training Director with Progressive Majority she worked to recruit and train hundreds of candidates for state and local office in 9 states. She also worked in the Women’s Vote Center of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) with Ann Lewis for 5 years providing political campaign and communications workshops across America.
Jennie is a seasoned international communication trainer and has trained for Women’s Campaign International, Vital Voices, and other international NGO’s & political parties in Portugal, Germany, Haiti, Malawi, Nigeria, Kenya, and Greece.
Prior to her political work Jennie had a long career in Hollywood as a screenwriter, sitcom writer, producer, and talk show host, and senior executive with several major studios.
